Charles France

Charles, a West Virginia native, founded Vulcan Ventures in 2020 with the aim of acquiring and managing single-family and multifamily residences within the Morgantown market. In the past five years, Charles has acquired and currently manages $24 million in assets, which include 231 residential units and one commercial space. 

Charles graduated Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with both a Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Information Systems. His undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with minors in Mathematics and Finance. Prior to his career in real estate, he worked as a Senior Consultant at a Fortune 200 firm and as Chief of Staff at a boutique private equity firm. In Charles’s free time he enjoys skiing in Colorado, golf, and pursuing fitness goals.

Charles’s responsibilities include market research, deal sourcing, due diligence, financing, asset management, and property management.

Cody Phifer

Cody Phifer grew up in Littleton, Colorado and graduated from Cornell University in 2007 with a Civil Engineering degree and a minor in geology. His previous careers include trading for a hedge fund in NYC and acquiring properties for a small oil & gas producer.

In July 2017, Cody became a licensed Residential Class C Contractor and began focusing on real estate development. Since then, he has successfully developed residential projects across Colorado, Michigan, and West Virginia. 

In 2021, Cody formed limited partnerships to acquire and manage single-family rental properties in Detroit. Together with his investors, he acquired 130 homes and implemented a value-add strategy which included rehabbing, tenanting, and selling half of the portfolio.

Beyond his business endeavors, Cody is dedicated to philanthropic work. As a former president of Denver Children’s Foundation and a current board member of Colorado UpLift, he credits his community involvement as a key factor in being named one of Denver Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” honorees. In his free time, Cody enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and can often be found on the golf course.

David Haudenschield

David Haudenschield is a seasoned finance professional and investor who wears multiple hats across several high-performing ventures. He is the owner of Fintax CPA, a Colorado-based accounting firm with a 10-person team serving business owners and real estate investors across the country.

As a licensed CPA in Colorado, he manages tax strategy and financial reporting for Sunnyside.

David also serves as the Chief Financial Officer for a $12 million roofing and construction company, where he leads budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial oversight.

In his spare time, he proudly serves as Treasurer of the Board for The Denver Children’s Foundation, a local organization supporting underserved youth throughout Colorado.

David holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Colorado Denver. He resides in Colorado with his family and enjoys skiing and golfing in his spare time.
